It’s February and it looks and feels like spring!! ~ 52 Weeks Project ~ Week 8

Juno can’t believe it either! It is so nice and warm out the snow is all melting away! I’m fairly certain she is pretty excited though because it’s means summer is approaching and she can go swimming! This dog loves water!

This week’s theme is ‘Wide-Angle Inclusion’. Photographers use different types of lenses for different aesthetic purposes. During a session you may see me switch lens a few times when I am looking to capture a moment in a certain way. Photographing with a wider lens is a bit of a challenge for me but with this image the wide lens allowed me to capture more of the scene and therefore achieve more energy in the image. It shows the how big the puddle is and allows the viewer to see a more interesting reflection. It almost appears as though she is looking at the spring season through the water while she is presently standing in the winter season. This would not have been possible with a longer lens.

“Because a wide-angle lens more closely approximates the peripheral vision of normal life, it is capable of creating photographs that yield a much more immersive or inclusive feeling for the reader of the photograph.” – David DuChemin
